Honda Malaysia Announces Hironobu Yoshimura As New Managing Director And CEO

Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd has announced the appointment of Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Yoshimura assumed office in Malaysia on 1 April 2022 and succeeds Ms. Madoka Chujo who started her tenure in Malaysia in April 2021.

Mr. Yoshimura comes with an extensive experience at Honda, totalling 34 years, and has built his expertise in the areas of Corporate Planning, Business Planning, Marketing and After-Sales Services. Having held key roles in various countries including Japan, Thailand and Pakistan, his latest role before coming to Malaysia was as President and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited.

“I am also pleased to share that based on our internal data, three Honda models have ranked No.1 in their respective segments for Quarter 1 of 2022. The models are City, All-New City Hatchback and All-New Civic,” he added.

Honda City Hatchback_RearHis predecessor Ms. Chujo, had joined Honda Malaysia in April 2021. In her short tenure as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Malaysia, the company achieved several milestones. Under her leadership, Honda Malaysia maintained its No. 1 position in the Non-National Passenger Vehicle Segment for the 8th year. She also saw the launch of the All-New City Hatchback in December 2021 and All-New Civic in January 2022. Ms. Chujo will be back in Japan to assume a new role at Honda Motor Co, Ltd in the Automobile Operations Sales Supervisory Unit, Sales Division.
