Edaran Tan Chong Introduces KURO Edition Packages For Nissan Almera Turbo
Edaran Tan Chong Motor has introduced the KURO (Black) Edition packages for the Nissan Almera Turbo, as well as a new body colour for 2024 i.e. Glacier Grey. The Nissan Almera KURO Edition comes with factory-fitted styling enhancements to a sportier aesthetic.
The KURO Edition includes a gloss black front grille cladding and black alloy rims, available across the 3 variants of the Almera as standard equipment. You can further expand on the stealthy theme by choosing either the KURO Package or KURO GT Package to enhance the looks.
The KURO Package builds on the aerokit developed exclusively by TOMEI Japan for the Almera Turbo by adopting a gloss black front bumper spoiler, gloss black rear bumper spoiler, gloss black side skirts and gloss black boot lid spoiler. These are complemented by other accessories such as ICE Cool tinting film, sport pedals, kick plate, door handle protector and door visor.
Alternatively, the KURO GT Package adds on the distinctive TOMEI GT Wing and 16″ IMPUL Racing alloy rims. 
The Nissan Almera Turbo runs a 1.0L HR10DET turbocharged 3-cylinder engine paired with an X-Tronic CVT with D-Step Logic and Sport mode to provide 100 PS (99 hp) and 152 Nm of torque. Contributing to its impressive fuel economy rating of 18.4 km/l is the Mirror Bore Coating technology derived from the iconic R35 Nissan GT-R and used in the Almera’s turbocharged engine to reduce friction and heat.
Inside, the Almera Turbo is designed with contemporary styling mixed combined premium materials that mixes chrome, piano black, carbon-fibre pattern finishes. It also has an 8″ infotainment touchscreen (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) and a colour 7″ semi-digital meter cluster. Rear legroom is helped by its long wheelbase (2,620 mm).

In terms of safety, the Nissan Almera Turbo comes with such driving aids as Intelligent Forward Collision Warning (IFCW) and Intelligent Forward Emergency Braking (IFEB) as standard across the 3 variants. The top VLT grade adds Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Intelligent Around View Monitor (IAVM) 360° camera with Moving Object Detection (IMOD).
The Nissan Almera KURO Edition starts at RM83,888, with a launch promotion of RM1,000* for the KURO Package or RM1,500* for the limited edition KURO GT Package (limited to 300 vehicle sets only), along with low monthly instalment starting from RM658*. It is now available for viewing and test drive at all Nissan showrooms nationwide.
