Kia Carnival 11-Seater Now Locally Assembled And Available From RM214k

Previously available only as fully imported units from South Korea, the Kia Carnival 11-seater variant is now locally assembled. The 11-seater Carnival joins its more premium 7- and 8-seater siblings as the 3rd Kia model to be assembled at the Inokom assembly plant in Kulim, Kedah.

According to Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of the Kia brand in Malaysia, the locally assembled 11-seater Carnival has a retail price of RM213,888 (private registration in Peninsular Malaysia). For those who book this variant between now and 31 December 2023, you will enjoy the early bird price of RM198,500 (inclusive of accessories). Kia Carnival_Tail Lights_Liftgate_Rear_CKD

The locally assembled Kia Carnival 11-seater interior now comes in Black and Gray leatherette interior finishing as standard (from the previous tan upholstery). Specifications of the 11-seater remains unchanged so you still get such items as Smart Powered Sliding doors, Smart Powered Liftgate, Smart Key with one-button open / close functionality for rear sliding door and liftgate.

Other carry-over standard features include the 12.3″ high-resolution LCD touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless charger, multi-Bluetooth connectivity and 7 USB ports.

As for the rest of the interior, its design is based on the concept of “Spatial Talents” which emphasises a spacious, comfortable and futuristic environment for young families. The Carnival boasts high levels of space for passengers in all rows with a sense of roominess that is stylish yet functional.

Exterior-wise, the 4th-generation Kia Carnival is a design evolution that builds on its predecessors’ heritage with a greater sense of solidity and a more sophisticated appearance. The Carnival is designed with a shorter front overhang with the base of the A-pillar moved backwards to create a longer bonnet line. The increased wheelbase also gives the MPV a longer and sleeker silhouette, while not compromising on cabin space. Additionally, the Carnival has a unique ‘island roof’ design with blacked-out A- and B-pillars seemingly supporting a body-coloured roof. Kia Carnival_Powered Liftgate_Sliding Door

For safety, the 11-seater Carnival includes features such as Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW), Rear Cross-Traffic Avoidance Assist (RCCA), 7 SRS Airbags (Front & Passenger, Driver Knee, Side and Curtain), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Multi-Collision Brake Control (MCB), ISOFIX Child Restraint Anchor Points and Top Tethers as well as Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC).

Moving the Carnival along is a 2.2L turbo diesel engine that is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission controlled by an electronic shifter (E-Shift). This engine produces 199 hp @ 3,800 rpm and 440 Nm of torque @ 1,750 – 2,750 rpm.

The exterior colour choices include Astra Blue, Snow White Pearl, Meteor Gray and Jet Black.

As one of the brands under the Bermaz Auto group, the Kia Carnival is covered by a 5-Year Manufacturer Warranty (or up to 100,000 km, whichever comes first). It also comes with 5 years of Free Scheduled Maintenance (or up to 100,000 km, whichever comes first) which includes parts, lubricants and labour charges. Kia Carnival_Rear Cross Traffic Alert
