Honda ‘Gen H Event’ Roadshow In June

Honda Malaysia is hosting the ‘GEN H Event’ to promote its hybrid technology. The roadshow offers a chance for Malaysians to understand and experience Honda’s e:HEV hybrid technology which is currently offered in its line-up in Malaysia.

The ‘GEN H Event’ will feature various activities such as fun fair rides, arcade, test drives, workshops, lifestyle food and beverage bazaar, graffiti art collaboration with local artists as well as an immersive area with interactive activities.

“Honda Malaysia was the pioneer in introducing hybrid technology to Malaysians 19 years ago when we offered the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) technology in the Civic Hybrid. Response to the IMA technology was positive and we went on to introduce the Sport Hybrid i-DCD in 2017 in the City and Jazz hybrid models which were value for money, fun to drive and performance driven, catering to the mass market. This effectively changed the perception of hybrid cars among Malaysians,” said Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura. “Today, the technology has evolved significantly, with the latest in our advanced hybrid technology, the e:HEV, a 2-motor hybrid system providing powerful performance and efficiency at the same time while keeping to the fun-to-drive DNA of Honda.”

The 1.5L e:HEV powertrain was first introduced here in 2020 with the Honda City. The company followed up with the e:HEV powertrain in the City Hatchback and HR-V in 2022. Since these launches, Honda Malaysia has sold over 2,800 units of City, over 1,600 units of City Hatchback and over 2,600 units of HR-V. In November 2022, Honda Malaysia launched the 2.0L e:HEV powertrain in the Civic model. To-date, Honda Malaysia has sold nearly 600 units of the Civic e:HEV.

Honda has been developing electric powertrains for over 30 years for use in EVs, fuel cell vehicles and hybrid vehicles, as part of its strategy to achieve carbon neutrality. Honda’s goal is to develop vehicles that are fun to drive yet have a unique appeal to customers.

• Juru Auto City, Penang : 10 – 11 June 2023 (11 AM – 11 PM)
• Stadium Bukit Jalil Car Park C, Kuala Lumpur : 17 – 18 June 2023 (10 AM – 10 PM)
