Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance Launched In Malaysia

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance, the most powerful production vehicle Mercedes-AMG has ever made.

Combining technologies from Formula 1 in its E Performance Hybrid strategy, the Affalterbach-based company uses a concept that includes an independent drive layout with an electric motor and battery on the rear axle. The AMG GT 63 S E Performance is powered by a 4.0L V8 biturbo engine with a permanently excited synchronous electric motor, a high-performance battery developed by AMG and the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system. The system power of 620 kW (843 hp) and maximum system torque of over 1400 Nm enable the car to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. And it can get to 200 km/h in less than 10 seconds. Top speed is capped at 316 km/h.

Notable features of the AMG GT 63 S E Performance include AMG Ride Control+ suspension with continuously adjustable pressure relief valves that adjusts the damping force for each wheel to suit the situation within a few milliseconds. The AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programmes to pre-select basic set-up, ranging from Sport+ to Comfort. Furthermore, the tuning can be adjusted in 3 stages independently of the drive programmes via a button.

Additionally, the integrated AMG DYNAMICS driving dynamics control system influences, among other things, the control strategies of the Electronic Stability Programme, the all-wheel drive and the electronically controlled limited-slip rear differential. This increases agility without negatively affecting the vehicle’s tability. Stopping power comes from a set of lightweight ceramic high-performance compound brake system which has a long service life and extremely high stability.

And just like the entire model series, the new E Performance hybrid offers a wide range of customisation options such as:

• Exclusive colour options available including MANUFAKTUR kalahari gold and AMG green hell magno paint finish. The MANUFAKTUR label stands for the highest degree of individuality and luxury with selected materials that are predominantly processed by hand. Exclusive paintwork and high-quality interior finishes are also part of the package. Other range for the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé, includes paint finishes such as MANUFAKTUR classic grey uni, MANUFAKTUR olive metallic or MANUFAKTUR copper orange magno (matt version) as well as various leather colours.
• A 2-tone leather steering wheel, deep-pile floor mats with embroidered AMG lettering and decal sets in three colour variants for the side skirts.
• The 21″ AMG forged wheels in a 5-twin-spoke design are painted black with a rim flange in a high-sheen finish. The AMG Night Package and the AMG Night Package II with their selected exterior elements in high-gloss black and dark chrome as well as the black foiling above the side sills also enhance the sporty look. Further, the AMG Aerodynamics Package and the AMG Exterior Carbon package are included in the standard specification.
• AMG Performance seats in Exclusive nappa leather as well as AMG trim elements in carbon.

Other features include a 360º camera, climatised front seats, panoramic sunroof, Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC, MBUX multimedia system, widescreen cockpit, head-up display, Burmester surround sound system, Navigation Connectivity package, hard-disc navigation, and charger with trickle charge function.
