Toyota And Lexus Sales Up In March

UMW Toyota Motor recorded a positive growth in sales for both the Toyota and Lexus brands in March 2022. With total monthly sales of 8,487 vehicles, Malaysia’s top non-national automotive distributor sees the year ahead as encouraging.

Last month, the company sold 8,386 Toyota and 101 Lexus vehicles, with a cumulative first quarter sales hitting 22,447 units. It projects that sales will continue in this upward trend. In February, it had sold a total of 6,432 vehicles, comprised of 6,366 units of Toyota and 66 of Lexus.

The increase in sales for Toyota is mainly down to the attractive promotions offered for such bestsellers as the Vios and Yaris. The company also anticipates a further boost in sales with its upcoming new product launches later in the year offering good value for money, along with top-of-the-line security features and enhanced performance.
