Updated Perodua Myvi Coming Soon; Now Open For Booking
The Perodua Myvi is getting updates. Perodua’s popular hatchback is getting upgrades, particularly the flagship variant. The 3rd generation Myvi is set to get enhanced intelligent safety features, improved fuel economy, and a new colour (Cranberry Red) as well as updates to its exterior.
The new Myvi variants will be the 1.5L AV (Advance Variant), 1.5L H variant, 1.5L X variant, as well as 2 1.3L G variants. Perodua has also discontinued the manual transmission option from the Myvi line-up so you are getting only automatics, possibly even a D-CVT like the Ativa. This is not a big surprise seeing how popular stick shifts currently are.
Further, the AV, H and X variants as well as one of the G variants will have the latest Perodua Smart Drive Assist (PSDA) system, which is designed with the safety of the driver and pedestrian in mind.
“These changes represent our efforts to meet our customers’ growing expectations while at the same time offer greater value by introducing the Next Standard for Malaysia’s most accepted model, the Perodua Myvi,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.
“We have also increased the fuel efficiency of the New Myvi as it can now go up to 22.2km per litre (tested on the 1.3L variant) from 21.1km per litre previously,” Dato’ Zainal added.
The new Cranberry Red exterior colour is only available for the AV variant. Other colours i.e. Ivory White, Glittering Silver, Lava Red (not available for the AV), Granite Grey, and Electric Blue are available for the other variants.
The updated Perodua Myvi will have a retail price ranging from RM45,700 to RM58,800 (price range is for Peninsular Malaysia and without insurance).
