Scania Delivers First New Truck Generation XT Model To Sarawak
Scania has delivered a New Truck Generation model to Mansang Logistics Sdn Bhd in Sarawak. By receiving this truck, Mansang Logistics has achieved many ‘firsts’ namely the first Scania New Truck Generation model in Sarawak, as well as the first XT truck and the first rigid type.
The Scania P250B4X2NZ XT refrigerated truck was handed over at the new Scania Malaysia Sales and Services centre in Kuching by Phang Yee Fong, Regional Manager for East Coast & East Malaysia, Scania Southeast Asia to Henry Tiong, Director of Mansang Logistics.
“This truck model is ideal for urban and regional operations and well-proven for construction and other demanding conditions,” said Yee Fong. “With the best driver ergonomics in its class, premium working cab with easy access, powerful and fuel-efficient engine, it is designed for the business that only matters. The Scania New Truck Generation XT is built to withstand challenging environments, enabling more uptime thus boosting productivity. Its interior and exterior is built tough, with steel bumper, protection shield, and towing device to handle all obstacles and challenges to maximise uptime.
Besides having more power, it is also designed and engineered with an advanced powertrain to give Scania truck owners better fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions. Together with its aerodynamic solutions, this truck provides 3% improvement in fuel economy.
The cabin design has also been optimised. It has adjustable seating close to the door, an ergonomic dashboard, and a large windscreen with extended view to make it easier for the driver to operate in a comfortable and safe environment.
“The features of the Scania New Truck Generation XT have improved greatly from the older generation making the truck more user friendly, very comfortable and most importantly giving clear visibility from the different angles,” commented Alex.
The bigger and more reliable Scania New Truck Generation XT will strengthen Mansang Logistics’s position as the key rural transporter. Mansang Logistics delivers daily goods and supplies to around 140 hard-to-reach locations in Sarawak, such as Kapit, Belaga, Marudi and Long Lama.
Concurrently, Mansang Logistics also subscribed to the Inclusive Repair and Maintenance (R&M) contract for ease of operation. It is also benefitting from the flexible financing solutions by Scania Credit Malaysia which provides Mansang Logistics with predictable cost over the entire life cycle of the Scania XT.
