By now, PROTON would have received well over 20,000 bookings for the X50. No doubt the publicity and hype surrounding its latest compact crossover is having a positive impact among Malaysian consumers.
And with such strong pre-launch booking numbers which will certainly create a long waiting list, there will be irresponsible parties who will take advantage of this situation. As such, PROTON is advising all who want to place a booking for the X50 to not be tempted by such parties misrepresenting themselves to profit off of you.
PROTON would like to explicitly emphasise that only bookings made at authorised Proton dealers and outlets are legitimate. PROTON has not appointed any party outside of its authorised sales network to act as sales agents for the company’s products. And it should not be held accountable for such parties which it did not authorise.
The company is strongly urging all potential customers to be wary of such individuals or organisations claiming otherwise. If you doubt their authenticity, please contact PROTON immediately to seek clarification. PROTON is making it its priority to ensure that its customers are well looked after.
