UMW Toyota Motor Section 19 PJ And Cheras Outlets Transferred To Dealers
Effective 1 July 2020, two UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) outlets in the Klang Valley have been transferred to Toyota dealers. The dealers i.e. Laser Motor PJ Sdn Bhd and Fokus Sentral Sdn Bhd have taken over the Section 19 PJ and Cheras outlet respectively. This move by UMWT is done to enhance its operational efficiency.
This follows the company’s earlier announcements in October 2017 and November 2018 that it would be transferring the majority of its branch retail operations to its dealers and other relevant parties. This strategy allows UMWT to further focus on high value-added upstream activities such as product development, marketing and dealer network support. Meanwhile, Toyota dealers will continue to dedicate themselves towards delivering customer satisfaction.
