New Ford Ranger FX4 Launched In Malaysia

Ford Motor Company and Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, has launched the new Ford Ranger FX4 in Malaysia. It is available in three exterior colours i.e. Meteor Grey, Absolute Black and Artic White. Priced from RM126,888 (on-the-road, with insurance), the Ranger FX4 includes a three-year or 100,000 km manufacturer’s warranty (whichever comes first).

Distinctive Looks

The Ford Ranger FX4 has a unique identity with a new design mesh grille in Ebony Black. The striking ‘FX4’ decal and emblem on its muscular exterior provides even more distinction against the other Ranger variants. Rounding out the rugged exterior are the 18″ gloss black rims wrapped in All-Terrain Tyres.

The strong FX4 identity continues in the cabin. The leather-accented seats are embossed with FX4 logos on the seatbacks to complement the contrasting red stitching on the gear selector, centre console, instrument panel, centre console, door trims, handbrake and the Ranger’s FX4 steering wheel. Special FX4-branded carpet mats finish of the interior enhancements, and retain the Ranger’s premium and comfortable car-like interior.

The Ford Ranger FX4 was launched simultaneously on Facebook and YouTube Live. It is the first pickup truck in the country to be launched on both platforms at the same time.

The Ranger FX4 is designed for customers who want to blend city living with off-the-grid adventures over tough terrain on weekends. It is powered by the proven Duratorq 2.2L turbodiesel engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The powertrain can deliver 160 PS and 385 Nm of peak torque.

The pick-up truck also includes a host of smart technologies and safety features. Some of the key features include an 8″ touchscreen display, SYNC multimedia system with reversing camera, electronic shift-on-the-fly 4×4, rain sensing wipers, and nimble Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS).
