Honda HR-V RS Adds New Dark Brown Interior As Alternative

Honda HR-V RS_Dark Brown Leather Interior_Seats_DashboardHonda Malaysia recently announced that the Honda HR-V RS is getting a new interior colour addition i.e. a classy dark brown leather. This new dark brown leather interior is offered as an alternative choice to the existing stylish black leather interior. This new interior colour covers the centre console, front panel, driver and passenger seats (front and rear), as well as the door panel lining.

There is no change in price for the HR-V RS with the new dark brown leather interior i.e. RM124,800 on the road without insurance. The HR-V RS is available in 3 exterior colour options i.e. Passion Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and White Orchid Pearl.

The HR-V received a facelift in January 2019, which has seen more than 19,000 units sold (May 2020). Of this figure, the RS variant makes up about 21% of total sales for the HR-V facelift. As a result, it holds the No. 1 position in the Non-National Compact SUV segment with an 85% market share (as of April 2020).

The HR-V RS continues to be powered by a 1.8L SOHC i-VTEC engine which is combined with Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) to deliver a balance of performance and fuel efficiency. It is also equipped with a Variable Gear Ratio (VGR) steering system for a sportier and more responsive driving experience.

The HR-V RS also has class-leading and functional features such as the 7″ Display Audio, Paddle Shifters and Honda LaneWatch. This model also sets the benchmark in the Compact SUV segment with its popular and practical Multi-Utility Cargo Space, which offers excellent cabin and trunk space for flexible usage. Standard safety features for the HR-V include six airbags, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Automatic Brake Hold (ABH), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Rear Seat ISOFIX.
