Mitsubishi Triton Saw 2.4% Rise In Sales In 2019

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia_Triton Adventure X_Pick-up TruckMitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) recently announced that the Mitsubishi Triton saw a rise of 2.4% year-on-year in 2019. MMM recorded a sale of 5,792 units of its popular pick-up truck. This comes on the back of a 21% reduction in the pick-up truck segment in 2019 due to soft demand. The Triton is the only brand that managed to achieve positive growth and expanded its overall sales.

For 2019, the Mitsubishi Triton led sales growth in the pick-up truck segment in Malaysia, improving its market share 16.5% (+ 3.8%). The new Triton was launched in early 2019, and this model has contributed 71.2% of MMM’s overall business.

“Our achievement this year includes ranking number one in J.D. Power 2019 Malaysia Customer Service Index (CSI) Mass Market Study. This is the second consecutive year for MMM to be ranked at number one and remained in the top three positions for five consecutive years. In terms of Sales, MMM is ranked top two in the 2019 J.D. Power Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study. These results were a reflection of car owner’s satisfaction and experienced at the authorized service centres,” he added.

In January 2019, the company launched the new Triton with the latest iteration of the ‘Dynamic Shield’ design concept, improved quality, advanced safety features and continued the DNA of the best handling pick-up truck.

Mitsubishi Triton Knight Front Bumper Grille and Body StickersIn November 2019, MMM upgraded the range toppers, Triton Adventure X and Triton AT Premium, to include more accessories offered by all MMM authorized dealers. The company also launched the new Triton Quest and limited edition Triton Knight to complete the Triton line-up.

The Mitsubishi Triton is still the only pick-up offering up to 200,000 km or 5 years’ warranty for added peace of mind.
