MCVE 2019 was officiated today by Dato’ Kamarudin Jaffar, Deputy Minister of Transport, who was driven to the venue by Marie Sjödin Enström, Managing Director of Scania Southeast Asia, in the latest Scania P-series truck. “The trucking and transportation industries are on the cusp of transformative change. We need to exploit our existing infrastructure better to be able to meet the demands of transportation in a more sustainable and efficient way. I am delighted that the MCVE can serve as the platform for all the players in the industry to share and offer solutions on providing safe, efficient and sustainable transportation for Malaysia in the coming future,” commented Dato’ Kamarudin in his opening speech.

The expo is Southeast Asia’s largest commercial vehicles exhibition, with major industry players such as Daihatsu, Hino, MAN, Scania, UD Trucks, Volvo displaying their latest offerings and solutions. Also participating in the expo are related industry partners and suppliers. The expo brings together the megatrends of future transport solutions that can contribute to more efficient, safer and cleaner transportation. Topics like electro-mobility, technology trends and ‘Uberisation’ of trucking services are among the topics presented. The Scania Driver Competition MCVE Edition is also back, as well as a range of comprehensive programs to appeal to a broad audience.
