Isuzu Malaysia Delivers 141 Trucks To City-Link Express Courier Service

Isuzu ELF Truck 2017 - NPR Pro MalaysiaIsuzu Malaysia recently delivered 141 units of commercial trucks to City-Link Express (M) Sdn Bhd, a homegrown courier service company looking to expand its truck fleet in line with the planned opening of more branches to provide faster delivery and better customer satisfaction. The handover held at City-Link Express’ ‘Super Hub’ facility in Bandar Saujana Putra, Selangor saw the delivery of 128 units of the ELF 4-wheeler (NLR77UEE) model, eight units of the ELF 6-wheeler (NPR81UKH) model and five units of the GIGA (GXR) model.

Incidentally, this is City-Link Express’ first purchase of the GIGA prime mover truck. With a rigid chassis and aerodynamic cabin design, the GIGA is built for long distance deliveries and long-haul use. It also offers high engine output and torque, as well as high fuel efficiency, making it ideal to be part of City-Link Express’ nationwide expansion plans.

At the handover ceremony, Koji Nakamura, Chief Executive Officer of Isuzu Malaysia, expressed his appreciation to City-Link Express for its continuous support of Isuzu Malaysia and its range of durable and economical trucks. He is confident that the new Isuzu trucks will play a crucial role for City-Link Express to achieve their company’s long-term business objectives and overall mission accordingly.

On hand to accept a symbolic mock key, a special banner and a F-series miniature toy truck from Nakamura-san was Dato’ David Tan, Founder and Executive Chairman of City-Link Express, Dato’ David Tan. Others present were City-Link Express Chief Executive Officer, Ronald Tan, and Sales Manager, Colin Tan.

Isuzu Malaysia will be conducting training sessions for the City-Link drivers on product knowledge and basic maintenance of the GIGA GXR prime mover. These sessions are aimed to provide the drivers with vital knowledge and understanding of the key features of the GXR truck so that they can achieve safe and economic driving.
