Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Issues Statement On Vehicle Deliveries Before 1 September 2018

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and its dealer network has been enjoying good sales due to the 0% GST (Goods & Services Tax) while the country is in a transition phase to the new SST (Sales & Service Tax) which is slated to start on 1 September 2018.

Mercedes-Benz Assembly Plant, Pekan, Pahang, MalaysiaDue to the overwhelming sales, the company is working hard to ensure timely delivery of customers’ orders before the tax holiday ends. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is making an effort to expedite the delivery of imported vehicles; its assembly facility in Pekan, Pahang is also running at maximum capacity.

However, despite its best efforts, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and its dealer network calls for its customers to understand the situation and the fact that neither the company nor its dealers can commit to an exact date for registration and delivery of vehicles on or before 31 August 2018.

According to a statement from Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, “Further to this, we are doing our utmost such that our dealer partners are receiving these vehicles in an efficient manner to reduce your wait as honoured clientele.

Through our dealer network and our qualified dealer personnel, we will ensure that you are constantly made aware of updates to your expected period of delivery. We are additionally at your disposal to explore every avenue should you choose to make an alternative decision on your vehicle purchase.
