A Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé For Under RM6k Monthly With Agility Financing
If you find the Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan too staid and think you’re too young for it, or if you think 4 doors on a car is a waste of hinges, then consider the new E-Class Coupé. Launched in Malaysia recently, the new E-Class Coupé is available in 2 variants and a limited edition trim. The E 200 Coupé AMG Line starts the ball rolling at RM 435,888 (on the road without insurance), followed by the E 300 Coupé AMG Line at RM 499,888; the limited edition (only 555 such units worldwide) E 300 Coupé Edition 1 is priced at RM 534,888.
By using the Agility Financing hire purchase scheme provided by Mercedes-Benz Financial, you can have a E 200 Coupé at RM 5,701 a month – this is based on a 3-year tenure, 10% downpayment and 20,000 km usage per year; monthly payments will vary depending on the desired terms e.g. you can opt for higher annual mileage or a longer tenure, so do check with your Mercedes-Benz Sales Advisor.
Bear in mind that we are not saying it’s cheap to own a car, what more a premium one. But Agility Financing 
is a relatively cheaper alternative to the conventional car loans one would normally apply for. Unless you get preferential rates, bank financing for a E 200 Coupé will cost approximately double that of Agility Financing (based on an assumed 3% interest rate, but the same 3-year tenure and 10% downpayment). On the upside, the bank will not make you promise a predetermined annual mileage.
The predetermined annual mileage is required in Agility Financing (you can take it as high as 30,000 km per annum) because Mercedes-Benz Malaysia provides a guaranteed future value for your car (which is inversely related to usage and wear & tear). At the end of the financing tenure you can opt to settle the financing, extend it or return the car to Mercedes-Benz, and go for a newer model. So if your ownership requirements jive with that of Agility Financing, then it’s a viable financing option.
