Ferrari has had a long and illustrious history, and the Cavallino Rampante (Prancing Horse) is still going strong. This year, Ferrari is celebrating being 70 years young all over the world and Naza Italia, the brand’s sole importer and distributor in Malaysia, held celebrations in Kuala Lumpur which preceded a Ferrari convoy ride to Penang for a gala dinner at Fort Cornwallis, Georgetown, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Greeted by Ferrari enthusiasts and a lion dance, the convoy of 50 Ferraris lined up along Jalan Padang Kota Lama in front of the Penang City Hall. The Ferrari owners were then treated to the local hawker fare specially arranged for the occasion.
Datuk Wira Hj. SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, NAZA World Group Executive Chairman, said, “With the Pearl of the Orient being such a historical gem and a city where heritage is both highly regarded and celebrated by local and international visitors alike, it made the ideal setting in which to gather and reflect on Ferrari’s many accomplishments.”
“Here in the heart of this World Heritage Site, we are reminded of the value of the past and how we can appreciate the best parts of what has been as we move forward. The 70 th Anniversary festivities taking place all over the world in 2017 are not only about honouring Ferrari’s history; they also inspire us to look ahead to the brand’s future and even more milestones,” Datuk Wira Hj. SM Faisal added.
