The One Academy Student Wins Isuzu D-Max 2.5L In Design Contest

The One Academy student, Tan Yi Xuan, got to drive home the grand prize, a new Isuzu D-Max 2.5L pickup truck worth RM 115,000, in a special Isuzu D-Max Decal Design Contest jointly organized by Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd, The One Academy and Sime Kansai Paints Sdn Bhd.

Isuzu Msia Exec Director Hajime Machimura and Isuzu D-Max Decal Design C...(1) - CopyTan won the Isuzu D-Max for the Most Creative Design, with her truck featuring vibrant flowing splashes of black, yellow and red. The graphic elements are meant to express the freedom, power and fun of the D-Max in motion on rugged terrain. The truck was specially wrapped in the winning design.

Another student, Lee Zun Tat, went home with RM 10,000 for his tattoo culture-inspired ‘Good To Be Bad’ theme, judged as the Most Rebellious Design. The main elements of a skull and octopus in a background of strong, bold colors are designed to catch attention and make a statement of how tattoos, which once had a questionable reputation, is now widely accepted in the mainstream.

The Most Futuristic Design prize was awarded to Mok Wen Qi, who also walked away with RM 10,000 prize money. The ‘Bird Of Freedom’ concept drew inspiration from birds and the freedom of flight, with a unique color combination of blue, turquoise and purple embellished with light streaks.

These 3 winning designs were brought to life on the Isuzu D-Max with Sime Kansai paints. The prize monies were also sponsored by Sime Kansai Paints Sdn Bhd.
