Caltex Delo 400 MGX Has 80,000 KM Drain Interval

Yes, 80,000 km = Eighty thousand kilometers; it’s not a typo error. Caltex Delo 400 MGX is the latest premium diesel engine oil just launched by Chevron Malaysia to address the commercial needs for an oil that meets stringent emissions regulations and with the ability to operate efficiently with low or high sulphur diesel fuels.

Delo 400 MGX is designed to be used with fuels with sulphur content from as low as 15 ppm (parts per Lennard Kwek Asia Pacific Marketing Chevron Lubricants Delo 400 MGX Launchmillion) to 5,000 ppm. Utilizing ISOSYN Technology additives, this oil provides excellent soot dispersancy as well as wear protection and sludge control resulting in less engine wear and oil consumption.

DSC_9752Delo 400 MGX is a multi-grade oil targeted at fleet owners and has been extensively tested in real-world usage thus the confidence of Chevron to claim a 80,000 km oil drain interval. The oil meets or exceeds API SM, Volvo VDS-4, Mercedes-Benz 229.31, Caterpillar ECF-3 / ECF-2, etc. requirements. The long oil drain interval helps to reduce running costs and down-time. Chevron gave a real world example of how the use of Delo 400 MGX helped a company reduce its vehicle fleet’s service interval from 12 times a year to 6 times a year resulting in a lowering of parts, oil and labor costs and improving operations efficiency with less vehicle down-time.

As a multi-grade oil that can be used in both diesel and petrol engines, Delo 400 MGX also solves a fleet manager’s problem in managing a mixed fleet of diesel and petrol vehicles, with just one engine oil.

Currently available only in drum-size packaging (and imported from USA), Caltex Delo 400 MGX is available at RM 9.50 per liter. Chevron plans to introduce smaller packaging at a later date.
