The 3M Scotchshield™ Crystalline Security AutoFilm is a 4-mil (0.1mm) window film with tensile strength up to 25,000 psi and features the proprietary Multi-layer Optical Film (MOF) technology that combines over 200 layers in a film, yet is thinner than a Post-it® Note. With each layer rejecting a different wavelength of solar energy, the film provides 97% Infrared Radiation Rejection (IRR) and up to 60% Total Solar Energy Rejection (TSER).
Apart from its superior heat rejection properties, the 3M Scotchshield™ Crystalline Security AutoFilm is also engineered to provide enhanced safety and security to drivers and passengers. As a strong deterrent to smash-and-grab perpetrator, the 3M Scotchshield™ Crystalline Security AutoFilm holds shattered glass together with aggressive safety film adhesive which minimizes the risk of injuries and slows down vehicle break-in attempts.
Additionally, the 3M Scotchshield™ Crystalline Security AutoFilm retains 3M AutoFilm benefits valued by consumers, such as 99.9% Ultraviolet Rejection (UVR) protection with an effective Solar Protection Factor (SPF) level of over 1,000. The UV protection helps reduce cracking and fading of a car’s trim, upholstery and carpet, while also protecting the vehicle occupants from harmful UV rays.
Designed to maintain the appearance of your car, the 3M Scotchshield™ Crystalline Security AutoFilm allows up to 69% of Visible Light Transmission (VLT) and is manufactured as a non-dyed film, hence there is no risk of the film fading or turning purple. Additionally, the film is non-metallized, allowing vehicle occupants to stay connected with zero electronic interference from the operation of mobile devices and GPS systems.
3M Scotchshield™ Crystalline Security AutoFilm is available at all authorized 3M AutoFilm Car Centres and comes with a five-year e-Warranty covering replacement of the film due to bubbling, peeling or blistering (glass breakage not included), as well as 100% of materials and labor.
