Infiniti QX70 arrives in Malaysia
What was formerly known as the Infiniti FX is officially re-launched in Malaysia with a new identity. In line with Infiniti’s range-wide designation revision in 2013, the brand’s BMW X5 rival now goes by the name of QX70.
Matching the uprated sportier trim fitted as standard for Malaysia market cars, the vehicle additionally carries an ‘S’ suffix in its nomenclature, being officially identified as the QX70S in our market.
In line with its sporty aspirations, the QX70S sports a generous dose of dark chrome trim, seen on the grille, fog lights surrounds, side air vents, lower side sills and tailgate garnish. Headlights are similarly darkened with a new smoked finish while wheels are 21-inch six-spoke alloys finished in black, to match the black roof rails and black mirrors.
The QX70S design theme continues in the cabin with black lacquer finish on the centre console and purple stitching for seats, steering wheel, armrest and door trims.
Powered by Nissan’s 3.7-litre naturally-aspirated V6 engine, the QX70S puts drive to all four wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission equipped with steering column-mounted magnesium paddle shifters. Ride and handling are enhanced through the standard fitment of Continuous Damping Control (CDC).
The Infiniti QX70S 3.7L is priced at RM470,000 (personal registration).
