ASEAN NCAP Road Tour Commences 25 Feb 2015
ASEAN NCAP will have its inaugural Road Tour from 25 Feb 2015 (Wed) until 28 Feb 2015 (Sat). The tour will be launched from its headquarters at MIROS in Kajang, and will meet Malaysian motorists at six stops including four R&R’s along the North-South (PLUS) Expressway.
At each stop, ASEAN NCAP Road Tour crew will organize several activities, fun contest and lucky draws in its aim to attract more attention of car users towards appreciating safety in cars. Two universities are also selected – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Skudai, Johor and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) at Nibong Tebal Campus, Penang – in order to meet ASEAN NCAP’s focus for youth as new car buyers. The closing ceremony will be held at the last stop at R&R Jejantas Sungai Buloh on Sat (28 Feb).

25 Feb 2015, 13:00 to 15:00 at R&R Pagoh (PLUS South-bound)
26 Feb 2015, 9:00 to 12:00 at UTM, Skudai (Engineering Main Hall)
26 Feb 2015, 14:00 to 17:00 at R&R Seremban (PLUS North-bound)
27 Feb 2015, 11:00 to 14:00 at R&R Tapah (PLUS North-bound)
27 Feb 2015, 14:30 to 17:00 at USM, Nibong Tebal Campus
28 Feb 2015, 14:00 to 17:00 at R&R Jejantas Sg Buloh (PLUS North-bound)
ASEAN NCAP Secretary-General, Mr. Khairil Anwar Abu Kassim said, “We have two main aims for this tour, first is to keep promoting and educating the public about car safety and NCAP, and second is to focus on the young car users based on our strategic approach. At the two universities, we will have technical talk with the students on road safety and the ASEAN NCAP program. I hope we could gain more support from Malaysian road users towards our “safer vehicle” agenda.”
