Nissan Teana earns 5 stars from ASEAN NCAP
The Nissan Teana L33 has created history becoming the best performing car thus far in the ASEAN New Car Assessment Programme. The Thai-built Teana 2.0XL was tested recently at the MIROS PC3 lab at Malacca and results of its test was delivered to a Nissan representative at the ongoing Thai Motor Expo at Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.
Besides being the first ever car in the programme to achieve a perfect 16.00 / 16.00 score in Adult Occupant Protection, the Teana also became the first car in the programme’s history to achieve a five-star rating in Child OCcupant protection with a score of 88%. The vehicle was also given a pass rating for its side impact test.
The current-generation Teana L33 was launched in Malaysia earlier this year earlier this year, and it is notable for offering a very comprehensive range of safety features as standard across its line-up. From the RM139,800 2.0XE base model up to the RM169,800 2.5XV flagship, all three variants of the Teana come are fitted with six airbags, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX anchors. Both front seat belts are equipped with reminders, pre-tensioners, and load limiters.
