Ford aftersales boosted with nine Quick Lane Service Centres
The after sales capacity for servicing Ford vehicles in the country has received a substantial boost with the opening of nine new Quick Lane service centres across Peninsula Malaysia. Situated in Penang, Ipoh, Juru, Johor Bahru, Muar, and four around Klang Valley, the nine new outlets will help support Ford’s growth in Malaysia and form part of Ford’s growing network of 49 dealers nationwide.
The opening of these nine outlets complete Phase 1 of the Quick Lane project in Malaysia, with even more scheduled for opening in the coming year. The opening of new Quick Lane outlets plus additional investment into new and existing Ford dealerships is part of a two-year enhancement strategy costing RM140 million undertaken by distributor Sime Darby Auto Connexion to enhance customer service and ownership experience of Ford vehicles in the country.
“With a focus on fast and efficient service, Quick Lane allows us to provide customers with even more convenient service options, ensuring all vehicles are repaired properly and serviced worry-free,” said David Westerman, managing director, Malaysia and Asia Pacific Emerging Markets, Ford Motor Company.
Quick Lane acts as an express service centre to accommodate vehicle maintenance and minor repairs including oil and filter changes, tire rotation, brake systems, tyres, minor exhaust system rectifications, free multipoint vehicle inspections, tune-ups and alignments. The centres are equipped with tools and software complying to Ford’s global service standards. Advance appointments are not required as cars are attended to on a first come first serve basis with a targeted turnaround time of no more than two hours. Vehicles of brands other than Ford are readily accepted as well.
