Limited-edition Isuzu D-Max Artic launched
Isuzu Malaysia has launched a limited edition of the Isuzu D-Max fitted with exclusive accessories and an uplifted appearance over the regular models. Dubbed the D-Max Artic, this version of the D-Max is restricted to a limited production run of just 510 units although it is nevertheless available with a choice of 2.5- and 3.0-litre engines, both automatic.
Externally, the D-Max Artic is immediately identifiable from the regular models by its distinctive pearl white paint complemented by a pair of silver-anodized aluminium side steps, 17-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and daytime running lights. Over the cargo bed, buyers have the option of fitting a decorative roll bar or a lockable V-Lid that is finished in a matching silver paint.
Inside, the D-Max Artic is trimmed in mocha brown leather upholstery on its seats and accented wood inserts on its dash and doot panels. Completing the transformation is a 2-DIN multimedia unit with reverse camera integration. Most of the D-Max Artic’s enhancements over the regular model are fitted at PDI rather than factory level, the only exceptions being its pearl white paint and daytime running lights.
Prices for the Isuzu D-Max Artic start at RM106,689.60 on-the-road with insurance for individual private registration in Peninsula Malaysia for the 2.5-litre 4×4 automatic version with roll bar. Adding the V-Lid to this variant brings the price up to RM109,189.60. Alternatively, the 3.0-litre 4×4 automatic is priced at RM113,459.90 and RM115,959.90 for roll bar and V-Lid fitments respectively.
In comparison, the regular D-Max 2.5-litre 4×4 automatic is priced at RM100,689.60 under the same terms. The D-Max V-Cross 3.0-litre 4×4 automatic, meanwhile, is priced at RM107,459.90 in regular specification and RM118,485.90 in uprated Safari specification.
