New Toyota Camry 2.0G X variant added to line-up
UMW Toyota Motor has opened its order books for a new variant of the Toyota Camry that offers a level of trim closer to the range-topping 2.5V but with the modest powertrain of the 2.0-litre model.
Set for launch next week, the new Camry 2.0G X offers smooth dark brown leather seats, rear side sunshade. power rear sunshade, navigation system with reverse camera, 17″ (inch) dark silver alloy rims, and smoked front and rear light units.
The new variant’s designation is a nostalgic callback to the first generation Camry that was launched in Malaysia. Although offered with a choice of 2.2 and 3.0-litre variants, Malaysians overwhelmingly chose the former, and many people consequently refer to that version of the Camry with the GX trim designation of the 2.2 variant.
