Mitsubishi ASX facelift launched
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), the official distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Malaysia, has officially launched a new facelifted version of the ASX today. Updates enjoyed by the compact crossover SUV include a refreshed front fascia along with a number of additional items in the kit count.
Priced at RM 142,010.60 on the road with insurance, buyers are offered a choice of four colours, namely White Pearl, Titanium Grey, Black Mica and Red Metallic. The vehicle’s mechanical make up is unchanged, so the tried and tested 2.0-litre 4B11 MIVEC engine keeps its place in the engine room pushing 148hp and 197Nm to the front wheels via the Jatco-sourced F1CJA INVECS-III CVT transmission.
Standard equipment in the ASX includes keyless entry with push-start operation, auto retractable side mirrors, cruise control, leather seats, automatic air conditioning, 17” alloy rims, paddle shifters, cruise control, parking sensors, and coloured LCD Multi-Info Display. These items are offered in addition to newer goodies such as panoramic glass roof, auto wipers, auto headlights, and a 2-DIN touchscreen system that now incorporates GPS navigation, Bluetooth, iPod, and reverse camera.
Safety features include Active Stability Control (ASC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), ABS, EBD, seat-belt pre-tensioners, dual frontal airbags, and driver knee airbag.
In addition to the above features, buyers are offered three optional accessories packages to further customize their vehicles:
– Package 1 (RM4,599): Front Corner Extension with Daytime Running Light, Front Under Cover, Rear Under Cover, Side Wind Deflector and Large Rear Spoiler
– Package 2 (RM1,799): Rear Bumper Plate, Chrome Plated Door Mirror Cover, Tailgate Protector, Scuff Plate
– Package 3 (RM899): Shift Knob, Side Tray Lid, Luggage Mat, Luggage Net.
