Volvo Car Malaysia has expanded its reach to the country’s Northern Region following the signing of a dealership agreement with Jayamas Premium Auto Sdn Bhd. This is the company’s second new dealer in as many months following the appointment of Clear Marque Sdn Bhd in October.

Jayamas is a well-established automotive player in Butterworth, with dealerships for Honda, Mitsubishi, Ford, Kia, and Suzuki already under their wings. Their new Volvo showroom will open for business in mid-January 2013, and the facility will support both sales and service with display space for five cars and six service bays.

“We foresee an exciting year ahead with the addition of the all-new Volvo V40 slated for the mid-year which will further bolster our product offerings in Malaysia. Anticipating this, we are expanding our dealership network in the Northern region to meet the demands of our growing customer base there,” said Goran Larsson, President of Volvo Car Malaysia.

The new dealership will be managed by Ooi Wei Ming, Volvo Cars General Manager for Jayamas Premium Auto. Highly experienced in the industry, Ooi is looking forward with anticipation to the task at hand, saying that, “Volvo is one of Malaysia’s most long-standing premium car brands and one that I personally have a great passion for.”
