Mitsubishi Mirage open for bookings
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has officially announced that its all-new Mitsubishi Mirage to be open for bookings to Malaysians effective immediately. Official launch is scheduled for November with three variants set to be priced very attractively between RM56,000 and RM64,900 before insurance.
“The all-new Mitsubishi Mirage is now open for booking, and I am confident that Malaysians will like this compact and complete car. With outstanding fuel economy and attributes that make it a perfect urban runabout, the Mirage is set to be a big player in the small car segment,” said Tetsuya Oda, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.
The Mirage will be powered by a fuel efficient 1.2-litre engine producing 77hp and 100Nm. A 5-speed manual or Mitsubishi’s INVECS-III CVT make up the Mirage’s transmission options. Fuel consumption is quote at 21.0 km/l in the New European Driving Cycle, although it was not specified which transmission this number is valid for.
A number of details remain vague for the Malaysian model mix, but initial information released by Mitsubishi illustrate impressive levels of equipment for the money. Standard equipment includes ABS, EBD, dual airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, illuminated instrument cluster, leather-wrapped steering, and touchscreen audio with USB/iPod connectivity. The range-topping GS CVT model adds keyless entry, push-start button, and auto climate control.
The Mirage will be available in 5 colours – Lemonade Yellow Metallic, Eisen Gray Mica, Red Metallic, White Pearl and Cool Silver Metallic.
