Mitsubishi Lancer GT with updated specs for 2012
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia today announced a specification update of the Lancer 2.0GT, which now comes with added equipment for a slight price increase. From RM123,980 previously, the Lancer GT now goes for RM128,995 with insurance in Peninsula Malaysia. The lower-specced Lancer EX has been discontinued.
That RM5,000 price increase adds front body kit with integrated LED daytime running lights, rear body kit, reverse camera, LED position lights, Nappa leather seats and premium carpet mats to the kit count. The 18″ alloys have similarly received a styling revision. Existing equipment that continue to feature are dual frontal airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, seat-belt pre-tensioners, 2-DIN multimedia touchscreen entertainment system, auto wipers, auto headlights, and cruise control.
Mechanical specs are unaltered, with the 2.0-litre 4B11 MIVEC powerplant remaining in service pushing out 148hp and 197Nm to the front wheels through Mitsubishi’s INVECS-III CVT with six pre-set virtual ratios for manual selection. Interestingly, the new numbers are now identical to the Proton Inspira 2.0 and no longer the 153hp and 199Nm that used to be quoted.
Fully imported from Japan, the updated Lancer GT is offered with a choice of three colours – White Solid, Black Mica and Red Metallic.
