Infiniti tops Total Car Score’s brand ranking

Total Car Score, a US-based automotive portal, has recently released its rankings of the ‘Top 10 Best Car Brands for 2012′, the result of a study focusing on each brand’s overall product range based on ratings by members of the motoring media.

“The list provides a data-driven assessment of which automakers are producing the most desirable, highest quality cars, crossovers, SUVs and pickup trucks,” said Total Car Score Editor in Chief Karl Brauer in announcing the results.

Topping the chart was Infiniti with a score of 82.09, followed by Mercedes-Benz at 81.82, Buick at 81.30, Audi at 80.93, and Lexus at 80.51. Rounding off the list was Kia at 10th place with 79.31 points.

Infiniti’s scores for the assessment was based on a 2012 model year line-up for the US market that included the Infiniti M luxury sedan and Infiniti M Hybrid; Infiniti G Sedan, Coupe, Convertible and IPL G Coupe; Infiniti FX performance luxury crossover; Infiniti EX crossover; and Infiniti QX full-size luxury SUV.
