Mitsubishi ASX Special Edition marks model’s 1st anniversary
The Mitsubishi ASX has been with us for a year already, and to mark the occasion, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia is making available 50 units of the ASX Special Edition which comes with an accessory package that includes items such as window visors, front under cover, rear garnish, and body sticker.
Launched in Malaysia last November, the Lancer-based ASX crossover is powered by Mitsubishi’s 2.0-litre 4B11 four-pot rated to produce 148hp and 198Nm. It is only offered in front-wheel drive, although certain overseas markets have the option of AWD. Sole transmission option is the INVECS-III CVT.
Additional features offered in this Special Edition model include a multimedia unit with GPS, Bluetooth, iPhone, iPod, and USB connectivity. Its seats are trimmed in leather lined with ‘race-inspired’ red stitching.
Priced at RM 142, 980 on the road inclusive of insurance, the ASX Special Edition is obtainable in two colours – White Pearl and Mica Black. Owners get to enjoy a 3-year/100,000 km warranty as well as Mitsubishi’s 2-year free maintenance package.
