New Toyota 3S centre opens in Ipoh
Toyota customers in Ipoh can look forward to improved sales and service with the opening of a new 3S facility by UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) along Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Ipoh, yesterday. The new facility is part of UMWT’s plan to aggressively grow its network in the country.
There are currently 90 sales outlets and 62 service centres operating under UMWT’s umbrella nationwide, with 57 of them being 3S centres. Plans are currently in the pipeline to have 80 3S centres nationwide by 2013, a target which UMWT hopes to achieve with an investment allocation of RM300 million.
According to En Ismet Suki, President of UMWT, the company has already invested over RM400 million for that purpose over the last five years, and the newly opened Ipoh 3S outlet alone cost RM26 million.
Sitting on a land spanning 2.7 acres, the centre has a built up area of more than 16,000m2. Its showroom can display up to seven cars, while its service facilities can handle up to 156 vehicles per day with a lounge available for waiting customers. It also has a Body and Paint centre able to service up to 6 vehicles per day.
