Wearnes staff crowned as top VW technicians in Malaysia
Volkswagen Group Malaysia recently held the Volkswagen Service Qualification World Championship and Parts Expert National Final competitions in Kuala Lumpur. Participants of the competition were placed in scenarios to test their competencies in repair, technical proficiency, and procedural skills.
Three categories were contested, namely Master Technician, Service Advisor, and Parts Expert. Winner of each category will then represent Malaysia in International Finals to be held in Germany in May 2010.
Top spot for all three categories were swept by personnel from Sungai Besi-based Wearnes VW, with Mohd Adib Basar crowned top Master Technician, while Bryan Lee Chi Meng and Murat Abdul Talib named best Service Advisor and Parts Expert respectively.

Their boss, General Manager of Wearnes Automotive Sdn Bhd, Jack Zaal was notably proud of his boys, saying, “I am very proud of the way the guys performed. The excellent training and positive aptitude that they display in their daily work of caring for customers’ Volkswagens have given them the winning edge in a competition such as this.”
