Kuala Lumpur, 22 August 2008 – Perodua introduced the new Myvi to the media today. The Myvi, first introduced in 2005, has been a runaway success story for Perodua, and to date, there are more than 250,000 units registered on Malaysian roads. The Myvi seems to have struck the right chords in the minds of the Malaysian buyers of cars of this size, having the right combination of size versus price, and offers an attractive value proposition.

The new model is a face-lift of the original version; the platform remains the same, so the basic values are still intact, but there are several improvements to the specifications in addition to some external changes at the front end, bumpers, and new wheels have been added to keep the Myvi fresh-looking.

At the front, new fog lamps, a new front grille, a new hood and emblem have been added, while inside, there is new fabric, a trimmed cluster and combination meter have been added. UV protection glass is a new feature. In terms of creature comfort, a seat height adjuster is available for the top variant, and MP3/WMA. USB port and bluetooth is also now available.

Engine capacities are either 1.0 litre or 1.3 litre, and you have a choice of auto or manual transmissions. Prices range between RM39,000 – RM51,000. Existing colours are complemented with two new ones, Medallion Grey and Caribbean Blue.
