Lawyers Begin Search In Swedish Marque
Swedish Marque’s impressive facilities in Sungai Besi was the venue for the law fraternity recently where 45 teams comprising mainly Kuala Lumpur Bar Council members gathered to seek answers to the cryptic questions facing them. These were not the ordinary questions of law but were questions in the form of riddles they had to face during the Kuala Lumpur Bar Council Charity Treasure Hunt 2006.
The expansive parking area and cozy showroom that usually holds pristine Volvo cars was transformed into a starting area and breakfast corner respectively for the 180 participants in this year’s event that sought to raise funds for the Yayasan Sunbeams Home, a Kuala Lumpur-based orphanage.
Unlike many regular treasure hunts where participants are rushed through their quick cup of instant coffee and bun before being sent on their way, the participants were given the usual Swedish Marque 5-star treatment with freshly-brewed Cappucino, Latte or gourmet tea to go with their hearty breakfast of Mee Siam and pastries.
They were then given their final briefing notes in the air-conditioned comfort of the showroom and a goodie bag presented by Swedish Marque before heading off on their route to historical Melaka.
Lee Hoe Lone, General Manager of Swedish Marque said that children have always been close to Swedish Marque’s heart.
We have supported programmes ranging from child safety to Christmas parties in the past and to be given the opportunity to support the Sunbeams Home through this Kuala Lumpur Bar Council treasure hunt is truly delightful,” he said. The event this year netted RM5,000.00 for the home.
The treasure hunt was won by the team of Tan King Le, KK Chai, Vincent Woo and Margaret Sha who took home the first prize of RM5,000.00 in Prudential Unit Trusts presented by Prudential Assurance.
