Shah Alam, 2 December 2005: MZ Motorrad will sweep the highways with envy with the launch of its exclusive limited edition Moskito 125RR, a first in the Malaysian motorcycle industry.

Only 900 units of the limited edition scooter, presented in a special black and gold theme, will be produced.

The elegantly styled scooter targets a younger generation striving to strike out on their own while adding a distinctive style to complement their outgoing and adventurous personality.

The limited edition Moskito 125RR features new eye-catching colour and graphics, a new meter display panel with digital clock, Euro-styled rear lights and blinkers, a dual texture seat, and a pair of customised Playlife grips.

In addition to these exciting new features, MZ has also in stalled several safety features that provide maximum protection for riders. The safety features include the automotive H4 type headlamp for improved visibility, state-of-the-art brake disc system, and an adjustable suspension which is adaptable to all kinds of road conditions.

As an additional incentive, those who purchase the limited edition Moskito 125RR will receive a free GIVI safety helmet specially commissioned by MZ to match the colour and graphics of the scooter.

“With these new features, and given that the Moskito is already a well established model among young Malaysian bikers, we are confident this limited edition Moskito will be a much sought-after scooter,” believes T.K. Quah, Managing Director of MZ Motorrad Group.

“Apart from providing a means of transport, motorcycling can also be a fun, safe, and exciting activity as long as riders have the right attitude, skills, training, and appropriate gear,” adds Quah. “It’s with this in mind that we have packed the Moskito 125RR with stylish and safety features.”

To commemorate the launch of the special limited edition scooter, MZ has come up with a novel way to raise money for charity. Due to the limited production, each Moskito will be specially numbered from 1 to 900. MZ has struck an agreement with members of the Malaysian Motorcycle and Scooter Dealers Association who are MZ dealers to bid for special numbers. Money collected from the successful bidders will be donated to Shelter, a welfare organisation for needy children.

“It’s indeed heartening that we’re able to work with our network of dealers in pursuing not just mutual business interests – but also in organising ourselves by giving something back to society,” expresses Quah. “I’m positive that there will be many generous bids from all our dealers for their special numbers.”
