SIC FLIES IN JAPAN GT QUEENS TO PROMOTE MALAYSIAN GT RACE

A trio of Japan GT Queens will be specially flown from Tokyo for a seven-week stay in Malaysia to help promote the Japan GT Championship Malaysia 2005, which will be held at Sepang Circuit on June 25 and 26.

“The beautiful Rina Kikuchi, Kaoru Asami and Aki Kogochi will be arriving here on Friday (May 6) to help kick off our promotions for the Japan GT race with the official launch this Saturday in Kuala Lumpur,” said Azhar Ghazali, the Press Officer of Sepang International Circuit.

Part time models in Tokyo, the GT Queens would be attending the Japan GT road shows, which would be covering Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Singapore as well as other promotions programmes conducted by partners of SIC and the Japan GT Association.

“The full programme for the GT promotions and road shows will be unveiled at the official launch this Saturday,” said Azhar, adding that the ceremony would be held at the ZOUK in Jalan Ampang.

The Sepang Japan GT race, now officially named as the Super GT because of its staging outside Japan in Malaysia and the United States, will be Round 3 of the Super GT Series, which will run in eight rounds plus a non-championship round at the California Speedway in the United States in December.

The series, which traced back to 1994, move into its second round in Fuji Speedway this week with the Fuji GT 500km race on Wednesday (May 6) in conjunction with the weeklong Golden Week nationwide holidays in Japan.
