Roo,

The reverse warning sound is too soft. Is it possible to tweet it louder?

As standard, the doors do not auto-lock itself on drive-off. Per the manual it can be program to do so but .... the instruction on the manual is not written for dummies. Have you figure out how to do this?

LOL, it's a great vehicle and for less than RM100k it blows everything out of the water but .... you should try to keep a car for more than 6 months. In the almost two years I've had my Accord, you've had three cars.

lol. Advice noted. Cheers, mate.

I think mine autolock but I didn't do anything to modify them. I'll have to check again.

I got mine from Mr Tee at PJ Ford but I couldn't even get an umbrella so you might want to try someone else.

Sorry, I did get a RM1k discount but I think that was standard for 2012 bookings. It might not be for bookings made in 2013.

I got the feeling that the Ford SAs didn't have any wiggle room so I booked it with him anyway.

I suppose if you're going to pay nearly 100k, then 1k should not make much diff. I suppose you bought the highest specified auto model in the 2.2 range right, just a shade below 100k?

Yes, the waiting list was already closed for the Wildtrak and I hadn't heard of the XL when I went shopping. I'm not sure what the differences are exactly with the XL but without the turbo the 2.2 would probably be underpowered.

I think GoBentong also got the RM1k discount. We were talking about joining forces to see if we could get a better discount but even as a double act, the SAs couldn't offer much.

sbd, Will pm my SA to you.

Unlike Roo, I avoid buying directly from the franchise car agent (fca). From past purchases I'd learned the sub-dealers though on first pass considerations must be handicapped vs the fca almost always offer better deals whether in price or services. The sub-dealer is in this biz solely to make $ and will do what it take to get you to sign on the dotted line whereas the SAs from fca must toe instructions from the central command and are utterly inflexible.

I booked my Ranger with a sub-dealer in 1st week Dec last year and took delivery before Christmas. I got -1k RM discount and a reasonably good security tint free. My SA also help to arrange NCD transfer from a Singapore car insurance policy.
