Or you just worried always no signal and not modem fault? smile_big.gif

Bro. VR2, Yes this is my concern and have to pay penalty for cancellation. Yes quota is 4GB which is just a bit below my monthly usage and that is the reason I am asking for view whether I should consider P1 with 5GB. I don't spend much time on the net but I need the speed for I listen to internet radio when I am on the net. Right now occasionally I get buffering when on the internet radio.

P1 signal depends very much on where you live. Not good for high rise buildings or places where there is no line of site to base station. Even if you have a good signal, max speed is not good - but I think 1 Mbps is achievable if there is no congestion.

As for Yes, I have yet to get a good report from any user! I hope that (like P1), you can cancel the service within 7 days, if it is not good.

Bro Flee, thanks for your feedback. Yes have 7 days trial, if service not satisfactory will refund $$. Main worry is after the 7days as contract is for 24months.

No joke. Last time my friends condo just launch some USB wireless-thingy broadband, so he subscribed and get good & fast speed. After >1 month, when promotion / marketing over, the signal & speed suddenly drops to 25% performance only.
Either something is very wrong, or they shifted the transmitter (mobile ?) elsewhere smile_blackeye.gif

In the end, he cancels it outside cool-off period but still in contractual. Return the USB modem over the counter. No penalty or corner kick.

Maxis should be OK, especially if you already use their mobile service. Then u only got one account for both mobile in Fibre Internet. Maxis fibre rides on TM UNIFI infra, so should be reliable.

Flee

My present Streamyx is only 512kbps. TM has been bugging me to upgrade to BB Deals 1.0 Mbps at Rm110 all inclusive which I think not value for $$$. Streamyx 1.0Mbps along cost Rm88/mth excluding phone line. For many months now, Streamyx in my area is getting from bad to worse. Difficult to sign in or speed is really slow. I thought with so many residents here upgrading to Unifi, Streamyx will improve but instead it is not the case. Maxis fibre optic or Unifi is too expensive for my pocket plus I do not need the rest of the bundle that comes with it.

If streamyx 1 Mbps at RM110, might as well got for Unifi 5 Mbps at RM149. Free calls to TM lines and IPTV but only a few channels.... smile_blackeye.gif

Hi,

Can join in?

My place is covered by Unifi. Attracted to their RM149 package but when the time comes they will imposed 60GB/month limit. Free TV is a plus points.

Currently I'm on my iPhone hotspot, my area's around 3MBPS, and I'm subscribing to an old BlackBerry package - no limit for mobile broadband.

My home TM line is still on, no streamyx subscribed.

Internet for the family is fine when I'm around - but when I'm not - no internet for them.

My kids watch youtube a lot. BabyTV by Astro - they already get bored.

Please suggest something for us. U Mobile any good?

Thank you.
