no more. dad was using it n he traded in for an Alza late last year. Hyundai cars altho good but really no 2nd hand value. Even worse in Sarawak! hahaha.

Btw, d Exora Bold really looks promising!

Yep, Exora Bold looks promising. Have you test drive it? You should test it out. It's much better than Alza.

nope i havent tested it. just checked it out at d showroom only.

anyway, my dad prefers d Alza as it's not too big (only he n my mum travels in it anyway), and Toyotas n Peroduas are much much more desirable than any other brands (for traditional reasons) in the land of hornbills. back home, we hv 4 Peroduas, Kancil, Kenari, Kelisa n Alza. smile_blackeye.gif

and i'm driving my 'Lotus' BLM at PJ/KL. smile_tongue.gif

Hi All,

What about overall maintenance cost expected for Exora Bold compared to existing Exora

What would be the extra maintenance cost for a turbo charged engine compared to naturally aspirated engine? Cost 2x more?

With cvt gearbox, vvt, and cfe, all looks good for engine performance but will it cost a big bomb for consumer's pocket during maintenance?

Regards,
CK

Tested the Bold.
What i notice straight away is that the vehicle is very2 sluggish when starting to move.
There seems to be a huge delay when u press the pedal which might u feel less confidence when exiting a junction.
The delay is more than the BLM 1.6 CVT.
However once u start moving, its fine.

The too light steering is not to my liking.
I cant feel anything up front. This might be due to the tyre pressure or the very2 new front tyre ( only 380km ) as i have driven previous version Exora and i can feel the front end better.

If one were to do a blind test, he/she will surely say that the vehicle is powered by a 2 liter engine.
Power delivery is huge and acceleration is quick. It get by by surprise when i press the pedal.
Braking is very2 good indeed as i discover when having to brake hard in order not to missed the entrance of the dealership after a hard acceleration..silly me as i am not to familiar with the route.

The leather quality is a let down. I have seen better finished seat in P1 car.
The stitch is not up to P1 usual mark

Sound insulation is great fro a P1 car. I was impressed and so was my dad.
There is no whining sound as what i heard from Saga's CVT unit.
Only the engine humm is heard.
What i like s the 'hisss' sound at around2k rpm.

What i also felt is the Bold has a firmer suspension. Still could be down to the tyre pressure.

nice review... same tot as mine, 0k-2k very sluggish and u can feel the car is very heavy. Once the turbo is kick in, piewww.... awesome.

that wat i said, if come with nappa leather sure better. smile.gif

as I know, P1 re-tune the suspension setup alr. MC1 suspension setup still very soft.
