It doesn't get better than this. Most VFM D segment in Malaysia.

It's too bad that the cars are still stuck in customs. We're really keen to test the car.

Price point would be an issue, in malaysia i reckon no one will wanna fork out above RM200k for a ford brand.
Above RM200k a lot of choice.
Actually some forummer suggested 1.6 ecoboost which is actually a good idea and price it RM150k. Output would be similar to those Camry n Accord but at cheaper fuel consumption n roadtax n insurance too.

I did raise the question of a Mondeo 1.6 EcoBoost during the PC yesterday, and the response is that they are, considering that option. To refresh, the Euro-spec Mondeo 1.6 EcoBoost makes 158hp and 240Nm - comparable with the BMW-PSA Prince engine in the Peugeot 308, and most importantly, more than enough to match 2.0-litre NA Japanese rivals.
You can most certainly bet on the next generation Focus having this engine though.

I guess they are worried about comment of being underpower as the case with the 2.3 NA engine.
If we look at Mazda 6 2.5 and 2.0, it seems the 2.5 outsell the 2.0. Thus tricky decision in the product planning department.

The Mazda6 attracts slightly different buyers compared to the established choices... which have the 2.0-litre models as the main sellers. So, slightly different rules apply.
The Peugeot 508, which will be using the Prince 1.6 THP engine, will provide Ford with a good indicator to the possible success or failure of a Mondeo 1.6 EcoBoost.
