milage below 40K should be able to make warranty claim. go to glenmarie....

and next time forget about NZ klang. yes they have pretty receptionist but they arew not fully equip for PUG... the last time time i went there they dont even have the diagnose computer... but now dont know lah

Hahaha... tongue.gif Bro, I really dont care whether NZ Wheels has pretty receptionist or not. Nway, I already sent my car to NAZA Corp workshop in Batu 3, Shah Alam. They are quite friendly. They just started servicing 206 Bestari. If I'm not mistaken previously they only servicing FORZA. Nway, my car might be stranded at the workshop for a couple of days or maybe a week as I have made lots of complaint to them smile_cry.gif (faulty gear box, the inggg sound, very high fuel consumption and the headlamp). I hope once it come out from the "hospital" my baby lion will be healthy again...

I just got my car yesterday afternoon. They have changed the Roller bearing and Electrovalve for free, so, i guess my car is still entitled for warranty. Anyway, I'm quite surprised as they can rectify everything within 3 days. Usually if I send the car to BB Glenmarie, it will take about a week or more for them to rectify all the problems. I think the Batu 3 service branch is really good and efficient and the service advisor is very friendly and helpful smile_thumbup.gif . Will surely go to them for service after this.

Changed mine yesterday. Total RM668.10 (Mileage 54772). The symptom is the same. It seems that this is the common defect for the 206, isn't it?

Time came for me to change my roller bearing & fan belt tensioner bearing AGAIN. This time since it wasn't on warranty, I made a date with my trusted mechanic to get it fixed. But sadly I did not have much time to let him experiment with the car, however I did manage to change both for a cost of RM420. We both felt that this cost can be reduced but I would need some time to hunt around.

1. Roller Bearing - I took the fan belt bearing out from a proton tiara and fixed it on the 206. the size is exactly the same and it looks better and more solid cause its fully metal. On the 206 its plastic. This bearing on my tiara is still running fine on my tiara, which mileage is 470,000kms already. I really hope this bearing lasts this long on the 206. Since I had a spare one lying in my store. I bought it last time, I think RM50 or so.

2. Fan belt tensioner bearing - At spare part shops & sc this part is sold together with its bracket, which makes it very expensive. at sc the price is RM604, at asli auto its RM540(original) at I managed to buy one oem @ RM320. Since I had to get my car ready fast, I bought it la. I tot no point getting the original one since it doesn;t last long either. Wanna see how long the RM320 bearing will last.

However looking at the tensioner bearing, it looks like the bearing can be replaced, without having to replace the bracket. I will have to hunt around for the correct size bearing and get it pressed into the bracket. If this works, the cost should be around RM50 - RM70.

I'll keep you guys updated. Hopefully it works, since these 2 parts are pretty useless as it gives way very fast. I'll post up some pictures later so that you'll be able to understand better.

The warranty for these 2 parts is 60K kms..so i'd advice you to go and ask them to get it changed asap. Bising and make sure u get it under warranty. Tell them the noise stated way before 60K kms.
