Soon-to-be/interested Buyer's Questions On Rexton

Hi Ken,

For a RM50k budget, I think it would be at least 12 years old Prado but you could get a 2004 Rexton that has much more power and advance engine, 5 speed transmission, ABS, EBD, etc..

In recent months, Rexton has been in very hot demand and the resale market price for RX270XDI did not actually dropped from last year but in fact, it seems increased slightly this year. This is a good sign that there is a strong demand in resale market which helps to stablise and protect price depreciation.

I just saw these recent ads that's pretty good price

1. Rexton RX270XDI Year 2004 - RM52k with leather seat

If you are not in a rush, spent a bit of time to survey for a good one but must act fact once you found the right one because it could have gone the next day.

The hot demand was probably due to the setting up of the Rexton Hub. I have plenty of time so Im not rushing. Probably have till June as that is when my current car road tax due for renewal. Would like to look for one with the memory seat but dont there is one currently listed for sale.

Anyway would suspect 2nd car market wont be so strong any longer due to the middle east crisis hence will have an effect on every one.

Would appreciate your advise on the schedule mileage for major maintenance ie 50k 100k etc

You are right, maybe 1 out of 5 or 10 potential owner like you introduce yourself, others maybe very silence but pounce once there is a nice rexton for sale..hahaha

Time is in your side, so perlahan lahan cari, 1 of our bro here, bro wirahijau found a nice AWD luxury spec , not sure how much but in very nice tip top condition.

but please don't expect you would found a perfect one....very rare. maybe been neglected because some SC are charging exorbitant price for service/parts..( not all SC, in fact some of the things are much cheaper in SC and some can only be found in SC)

but make sure you are around these thread, from time to time we would put-up a nice and good price rexton for sale.

I think the hot demand is because of it's under value when its price dropped too much during it's financial crisis in end of 2008 when the owners panicked that Ssangyong Korea might be shut down but apparently Ssangyong has survived and in fact doing better now, so the used car market value has stablised when lots of buyers find it a worthy buy.

Rexton Hub also helpful to provide better insight and more info about owner experience, parts availability, parts prices, etc.. So, the buyers can make a well informed judgment to make their decision.

Not sure how badly middle east crisis is affecting the economy but for those who needed to buy a used car would consider Rexton more because the value it offered. If the economy is good, buyers could have purchased more expensive brands.

Memory leather seats comes in Full Accessories model that is not very common but like you said, you have time till June. So monitor ads closely and react fast when you found the right one.

another very "keen" buyer of Rexton preferably Rexton II :-), sold my car and now driving my dad's car, not really in rush but been monitoring the ads at Mudah/Star, nothing much interesting turns up :-(

looks like one more new bro soon. Now I have to move faster if want to buy RexII. Otherwise may miss it again hehehe.

I remember there is another bro from PG has been searching for Rex II too. Your current Rexton also in tip top condition. How's the drive after replacing one injector?

From our March TT, we have 2 Rexton II joined us. White Rex surely looks outstanding among the norm of Black and Silver.

Saw this new ads at Mudah from Sabah, Rexton I basic model is selling that high in Sabah but their road tax is real dirt cheap.
