hey guys...

my BLM is facing engine oil reduction problem... Last 2 weeks i went for 10k servicing... the day before servicing, i checked the engine oil level with the dipstick... it was at "LOW" level... when i asked the SC person in-charge, they could not identify the problem... they told me to wait until i come for the next service for 15k and check the similar problem will occur...

Anyone facing the same problem as i am?

Little update on my BLM's problem...

I went to OTHER proton SC today... The person in-charge there claimed that the engine oil I used (10-40W) is too thin and will cause evaporation... that's why my engine oil reduce... They recommend 20-50W (Mineral type) for BLM, but not semi-syn 10-40W... (??? the question is... the engine oil used before was recommended by other 1st SC at Tmn Midah, how can this be???)

After 2 hours, i took my BLM... the counter gal told me that there are "minor" leakage at "screw" (in fact dono what screw, and i think weird coz i couldn't trace any oil mark at my carpark)... so they serviced it and top up my engine oil until max level... Request me to monitor whether got any reduction for next 1 or 2 weeks...

Dear sifus... izzit true that using semi-syn engine oil will cause evaporation??? Need ur advice... smile_big.gif

I've used semi twice b4 and the level did not change even with hard driving.
