Total cost is RM330...ouch!!
Its that high coz i switch to FS oil and try the anti bacteria treatment thing.
Well, i guess the anti bacteria thing works well as i no longer smell this weird smell in my car.
Plus point is that it cost only RM19.90.
My complain to the sc is my driver seat is moving.
They've ordered the part so thats solved.
when i read the part request form, i notice they oso request lash adjuster, all 16 of them.
When i ask, they said bcoz the engine is producing noise.
Well,i dont notice it as i rarely pop the hood nowadays.
So kudos to them for noticing it and taking action.
My reminder to 1st batch owner is, if your engine produce teppet like sound,
hav it checked.

Problems with hydraulic lifters is always associated with dragging oil change interval and use of oil thicker than recommendation.
I have rebuilt a few Campro with hydraulic lifter problems and all are associated with changing oil every 10,000 km. All those that I rebuilt have 'excellent servicing record', all done in Proton SC, using full-synth, 10W40 to 15W50 oil, with perfect oil level!
Here's another problem, journal wear, such as those on the camshaft.

For the longevity and reliability of your Campro engine, trust me, any SEMI SYNTHETIC will do, and never use it for more than 5,000km.

It's true that you do not need to adjust the hydraulic lifters, but you need to make sure that they are working correctly.
There are TWO major lifter problems.
1) tappet noise - due to low pressure in the lifter, causing it to react slow (or not reacting at all) to self-adjust in zero'ing the clearance. This is more common and not detrimental. Engine still runs, but noisier.
2) V/P contact - Not so common but happened to 2 of my customers car. Valve - Piston contact due to lifter 'pump-up' preventing the valves from closing problem, and stay open. This will happen slowly. First, you may find the engine difficult to me fired-up, then it idles poorly, when the time comes, contact will occur and you will notice very loud knocking sound from the engine and it runs very poor. This condition usually lead to engine failure especially damaged valves, piston and head. The contact is always between the intake valves and the pistons. Hardly hit the smaller exhaust valve before the engine is killed.

thks bro for the info.
2) no problem.
1)to self-adjust in zero'ing .If my is not noise that's mean it is ok right.
