how about go back to the place that done the replacement (particularly if they who are the one that recommended changing fan belt tensioner could solved the sound issue) and ask them to solve the problem. you already paid rm400 and nothing happened, so they should get their asses up.

or ask money back on the fan belt tensioner coz it doesn't solved the problem.

The last time my ride having this "whee" sound was back in year 2007, got that replaced under warranty at Glenmarie. The part that they change is Bearing Tensioner

the fan belt tensioner as said is spoilt, but i checked the tensioner metal is crakced and bengkok..
cause the sound dont come from any of the baering that is spinning on the engine, it sounds like its inside the engine there,
as he said its the alternator bearing, its in the workshop now..
Best regards,
leroy.

leroy..where u sent ur car?i had counter this problem ..regarding my case, its the tensioner bearing faulty as the effect, the fan belt wabbling when u step on the gas which later 'makan' the metal..

before it was fixed..the mech gave alot of reasons, such as my steering pump faulty , my compressor faulty...in the end its only the tensioner bearing..they just give such cause as they apply "try and error" test..at the end of the day,u'll suffering a 3rd degree wallet burnt..

just want to share my experience ..best wishes for u..

Due to the numbers of complaint regarding this, i suspect there is a faulty batch of tensioner.

Nasim people should look into the matter.

Be a responsible dealer.

Dont let owners suffer when Nasim can highlight this issue and do a back-to-back warranty claim to Peugeot.

i sent to some workshop at peringgit, it seems theres no problem frm any of the bearing that is spinning with the belt.
it sounded like its more inside the engine, i guess its not the bearing tensioner problem. iTs more than that..
GG.

leroy.
