sugen, do get me wrong, i am saying the shipping cost is USD 76++ to ship bag & accessories. Your usd 60 shipping cost may be only the bag alone.

I've received feedback from them saying "The straps with door hooks work only on some cars, but the standard long straps work on any vehicle, with or without a rack. Both strapping systems are secure, but with the long straps you can't go wrong."

I've checked our Rondo, shouldn't be a problem to apply the hooks.

they have explained to meet thru email, both are the same material, only diff. at the sewing the zipper and all corner, Explorer using tradisional sewing hence might cause moisture to penetrate thru the tiny sewing holes, whereas Cross County is sewed using high tech, don't know what Radio frequency sewing method, hence no holes. This is why they dare to claim 100% waterproof and Explorer is 99%. From the mail also they mention the explorer only give away only when meet with heavy storm and rain. In order to play safe, I am sure you need a worry free roof carrier right, Cross Country a better option, further got free pouch. This made difference USD 30.00 (my wifey said she paid for this diff.) smile_tongue.gif
I've ordered the system,
1) Cross Country Roofbag, 11 cuft - 1 pc
2) Duffles Bag - 1 set
3) Protective mat - 1 pc
4) Door Straps - 1 set
Total inclusive shipping @ USD 234.50

I know the shipping charges is high but we have no choice, if opted for the Yakima, Rhino or Rola system, the rail itself already cost you 1.2K, add the box, may shot up to 2K. So pain 1 time, take the best from the system, not so dearl-ah, only USD 40 X 3.5 = Rm 140.00 extra.

Schedule to arrive @ 12/10/2009 by USPS - priority international service

I am going on tour this coming Deepavali holiday with 4 adults and 2 kids, 4 days 3 night (Cameron Highlands), i am sure this item come in a right timing.

from the tracking system, my parcel currently still parking at M'sia Customs office since 07/10/2009 smile_angry.gif no progress!

They also send another parcel to replace the defective strap, 4 days after my 1st parcel shipped. Understand from them recently they have found some minor defect at the current strap which they afraid included in the 1st delivery, less than 5% chances to get this minor defective strap but they don't want to take any chance , they have to replace it. Emm, responsible seller.

finally arrived on 13/10. I've tried out the roofbag with door strap, yes it work. firm and secure during my test drive at my taman area, i stuff in alot of empty boxes, newspaper, pillow, etc... you will be amazed how many items can go into this bag!! smile_approve.gif

now on the water leaking issue, I've done the sitmulation, the water do sip into the car interior, 1 thru the intteruptted weathersheild and 2nd thru the water absorbent strap. I sitmulated with very heavy rain, full blast the water hose at the specific area, then only the water sipped in. I got the advice from them to overcome this issue, 1st spray the strap with silicon spray to make it water repellent and 2nd customized the addtional weathershield to cover the intterupted sealing area. i've not yet try, may be this evening to try it out.
