So this beg will lean/rest on the roof top? Can our roof top support the weight if load with luggage eg max 50kg.. Still i think it will be nice if u bough a cross bar as well..

Yeap.. mine's a EXS. Haven't used it before but looking at the size when installing it will sit on the antenna but guess this is okay. Bought it at current Amazon price and have it brought back thru a friend flying back from States. Not worth to ship it as the package is quite heavy.

As for securing the bag on the roof with just 4 points should be okay as some users have feedback doing the same thing and it is still secure at high speeds.

Thanks wctan for the information. Since mine is an EX, can't have this bag adapted to the roof. From the shape, the built and the design, Roofbag.com is the better choice, what do you think?

I am in the middle of corresponding email with them for further information, very fast respond and helpful. i going to order this soon. As per their advice, our Rondo only suitable for 11cuft not the 15cuft. They told me that after considering the aerodynamic factor + the antenna on our Rondo. Very details Company to advice customer which to purchase.

Well bro sugen I am planning to place it between the bars and have the tied downs secured to the bars that my EXS has. For EX, think okwaja proposal on roofbag.com might be a better idea. ;-) At least now there are cheaper options as compared to hard boxes!

besides cheaper, infact the roofbag has a lot of advantages, for eg. when not in use, we just have to fold it up into small size not like the box where allocated a lot of space at your home. Also when reached the destination eg. hotel, we just have to unload the bag from the roof and fold it, we can drive the car without the addtional load of the box. smile_approve.gif

Yes.. and the small beg to keep the roofbag is free.. I had read all the spec in details.. But 2 concern..

1. The shipping fees is quite expensive.. USD 60
2. Not sure it is secure enough with only 2 stripes to tie on the roof railing.. & is our roof is strong enough for a 50kg load to rest on it..

sugen, you may want visit their website roofbag.com, very informative web and you can always try the order menu to see how much they charge for the Postal service. Yes, I'll opt for the hooks. In fact I am asking them the holding power between long strap vs door hooks. I am waiting for their final reply before place the order.

The door hooks don't look secure to me.

Sugen,
50kg is not an issue for our roofs. It is stated in the manual.

Wctan,
Thule does offer a soft box option but it isn't as cheap as the Roofbox. Then again, the Thule option is not the same as the Roofbox.

Kevin,
I think the manual means the weight distribute across the roof railing & the cross bar... Not sure is the entire weight just lean/rest on top of the roof... As the beg that we mention is total rest on the roof..
